Claude Desktop

Connect Hive to Claude Desktop through Settings, Connectors.

Add the connector

1. Open Claude Desktop and go to Settings > Connectors.

2. Choose to add a custom connector.

3. Paste the endpoint:

   https://mcp.hiveintelligence.xyz/mcp
   

4. Approve the connection when Claude opens your browser.

Claude Desktop stores the credential itself. Nothing goes in a config file by hand.

Verify

Start a new conversation and ask:

What is the current price of Bitcoin? Use Hive.

If Claude answers with a provider name and a timestamp, the connector is live. If it answers from memory with no source, the server did not load. Quit Claude Desktop fully and reopen it, then check Settings > Connectors again.

Refreshing the tool list

Claude caches the tool list per connection. After Hive ships new tools, disconnect and reconnect the connector, or restart Claude Desktop, to pick them up.
